Kingsley Youth League Cup Final 2006

Bude 2 - Woolsery 0

The Cup Final played at Holsworthy, weather was hot and sunny. A well matched first half with Woolsery playing well and setting up a few chances, just before half time Bude were rewarded with a goal. The second half was totaly dominated in mid field by Bude, the Woolsery defence was repeatedly tested and Bude scored a second goal with some ease.

Bude were also league champions this season with Woolsery as runners up

Andrew Troop gave Bude the lead and Lee Gardiner added a second. Andrew Troop made it 3-0 before half time. In the second half Lloyd and Thomas ( no surnames given!) increased the lead, Andrew Troop scored two more, Lee Gardiner netted his second, and finally Andrew Troop scored another two to take his personal tally to six.

Also in the Bude team were Ryan Butler, Mark Page and Sam Gilhespy.

Bude Blues 9, Bude Reds 0

Lee Gardiner made a goaline clearance from a Bude Reds free kick while at the other end Thomas Bunning laid the ball off to Ryan Butler who blazed a long shot just wide, writes Lee Cooper. The Reds’ Mark Page had his hands full marking the Blues Teagon Nicholls. Sam Gilhespy did not have much to do in Bude Blues goal. Lloyd Scaife was playing a defensive holding role. Lee Gardiner struck a volley which hit the crossbar. The Blues took the lead when Thomas Bunning drilled the ball across for Ryan Butler to place in the bottom left hand corner. Lee Gardiners up shot was diverted by Andrew Troop into the net 2-0. Ryan Butler made it 3-0 before half time. From Andrew Troops cross Thomas Bunning netted the fourth and Andrew Troop the fifth. Sub Keiran Gooding came on in place of Mark Page.Thomas Bunnings volley made it 6-0. Thomas Bunning was denied a hat-trick by Reds ‘keeper Jake Marlowe. Lee Gardiner scored the seventh. Thomas Bunning passed to Ryan Butler who scores completed his hat-trick and Lloyd Scaife scored the final goal just before the whistle.
